Precaution
Replace the tension regulator band assembly itself if the felt surface of the tension
regulator band assembly is hardened or worn.
Preparations
1. Confirm that the unit is in the unthreading end state.
2. Turn off the power.
3. Remove the front lid and outside panel.
(Refer to section 1-6 in Part 1 of the Maintenance Manual.)
4. Remove the cassette compartment.
(Refer to section 3-3-24.)

Stop washers are used for installation of the tension regulator band assembly. Do not
reuse them. Install the new ones (3-559-408-11) when replacing the tension
regulator band assembly.
