Precaution
Be careful not to damage the CTL head, TC head, and peripheral tape guide when
replacing the drum assembly.
Take care that the video heads of the drum assembly are not damaged during
replacement.
Basic knowledge
For except periodic replacement, replace the drum assembly in the following cases.
. When the tape running path of the lower drum is damaged and cannot be restored
. When correct RF waveforms cannot be obtained due to the worn lower drum even
if the tracking adjustment is performed
. When the bearing reaches its life and the VTR performance cannot be satisfied
due to noises or jitters
