INTERACTION WITH EXTERNAL DEVICES

Each AeroNav is capable of communicating with several hundred
third-party devices. Reference the Installation Manual for a
complete list of devices supported and any hardware/software
baseline restrictions or view the supported device list at
https://www.bendixking.com/en/products/aeronav-gps-navigators
As a condition for certification, the AeroNav is approved for
integration with all equipment the GNS 530 is approved for, plus
the AeroNav is approved for integration with additional equipment
beyond those authorized for use with the GNS system.
TIPS AND TECHNIEQUES
Dual AeroNav Installations Should Only Use One
WiFi
For reliable WiFi operations, BendixKing
recommends turning off WiFi (Network) from the
User Options page on one of the AeroNavs.
NOTE
Shared Data Between Panel AeroNav and IFD100
Almost all of the same data sharing rules apply
between a panel mounted AeroNav and the IFD100
application running on a mobile device. Com/Nav
tuning however is shared between these two
devices.
The IFD100 application is running all the same
software that the panel mount AeroNav is running.
When connected via WiFi with a panel mount
AeroNav, it will behave as if it is another panel
mount AeroNav and will share all the data that two
panel mount AeroNavs would share plus Com/Nav
tuning, not just the limited amount of data that third
party applications may be sharing with the
AeroNavs.
