3. Properly secure the payload to the mast with customer-provided hardware. The
mounting hardware shall include proper means to resist vibration loosening such as
thread-locking compound or locking hardware. Torque all hardware as appropriate for its
size and grade. If using stainless steel M8x1.25 fasteners on Inflexion HD, the
recommended installation torque is 15-17 Nm (130-155 in-lb.)
Note: For Inflexion HD, a jumper wire is factory installed in the control box to provide the RCP
stowed signal required to retract the mast. The jumper wire connects on Terminal Block 4 (RCP
connector on the main control board) between +V (Pin 2) and Stowed (Pin 7).
If a unit supplied with an RCP is modified to remove the RCP for a different payload, a jumper
wire (22-AWG (0.5 mm

The Night Scan Lite with RCP will arrive with the payload saddles factory adjusted. For the
Inflexion HD with other payloads, the installer shall ensure the payload is secure from shock and
vibration damage in the nested position during vehicle transport. The payload must be
supported in the nested position. The vertical saddle elements (Figure 2-25) adjust up and down
and are provided to assist with this support, but will not accommodate all payload geometries.
The installer may need to fabricate other means to secure the payload. Do not apply any
loading to the control box. The support should mount to the Mast or vehicle frame/structure.
