Conditions for Starting the FlarePro

3-8 | FlarePro Process Mass Spectrometer
Apply the purge gas supply (make sure that the purge toggle valve is
open).
Close the door of the unit and use the latch key to tighten the six
latches in a clockwise direction until the door is secure.
Ensure that sample lines and exhaust lines have been attached.
Make sure that the oven enclosure door is fully tightened.
Make sure that the terminal box lid is fully tightened.
DO NOT APPLY POWER AT THIS POINT.
Pressurized / purge air supply must be flowing. When the door is
latched closed and the compressed air is flowing, the left indicator on
the purge control unit should turn from RED to GREEN, indicating
that the pressure inside the enclosure is acceptable.
If the indicator does not turn GREEN, slowly increase the flow of
purge air by turning the adjustment valve on the purge enclosure
counter-clockwise until the indicator turns GREEN.
Wait for 30 minutes while the main enclosure is purged. The indicator
must remain GREEN for the entire time. If the indicator does not
remain GREEN, check for purge air leaks (main door not closed
properly, enclosure leak insufficient air pressure, etc.).
Apply power to the FlarePro.
