Roughing / Backing Pump – Diaphragm
You must change the diaphragm and valves in the pump every twelve
(12) months. Instructions can be found in the pump manufacturer's
documentation supplied with your analyzer.
Pressurized / Purge System Maintenance
Since the pressurization / purge system is key to the safety of this unit in
hazardous locations, contact AMETEK immediately with any questions on
performance or maintenance.
Six-Month Routine Maintenance
Check the purge relief valve and the purge exhaust spark arrestors and
remove any debris or corrosion, or replace the device. These devices are
located on the lower front side of the FlarePro enclosure.
Two-Year Maintenance
At least every two years, check the following items to make sure
the analyzer is suitable for the hazardous location:

Ensure that there are no unauthorized modifications.
•
Ensure the air supply is not contaminated.
•
Ensure the alarms function correctly.
•
Ensure approval labels are legible and undamaged.
•
Ensure adequate spares are available.
•
Ensure the action on pressure failure is correct.
