Electronics Unit Communications and LEDs

4-20 | FlarePro Process Mass Spectrometer
1.
Ensure the power supply cable between the electronics unit and
the power supply is plugged in at both ends.
2.
Ensure the electronics unit RS-232/RS-485 switch is in the correct
position for the communications port that you are using.
3.
Check the LEDs on the DCU bracket to make sure that all lights are
GREEN. The Communications (Comm) LED should be flashing
GREEN. Refer to "LED" section below for LED details.
4.
If the problem persists, call the factory or your local manufacturer 's
representative for assistance.
The LEDs on the DCU bracket include:
CPU
Indicates CPU and system status:
OFF
RED
Flashing RED
GREEN
Comm
Indicates the status of communications between the electronics and
PC:
Flashing GREEN
OFF
RED
RF
Indicates the status of the RF circuit:
GREEN
RED
YELLOW
If you are having a problem in this area, please contact your
service engineer.
Filament
Indicates the status of the Filament:
GREEN
RED
YELLOW
Electronics unit power is off.
CPU has stopped.
Battery-backed RAM has been cleared.
Check battery.
Normal operation.
Receiving data from the PC.
Electronics unit is inactive.
Communications error.
The RF amplifier is operating properly.
There is a RF failure.
Automatic RF tune in progress.
The Filament is on and is working properly.
The Filament is off due to an overpressure, open, or short
condition.
Half of the Filament has failed.
