Configuring a client (PC) to access the router
You can connect directly to the router, and to a
remote network, using a telephone line. Router
access must first be correctly configured as de-
scribed above. Then you need to set up a suitable
dial-up connection on the computer, as follows.
Click on START and then Control Panel.
Click on NETWORK CONNECTIONS
and then
NEW CONNECTION WIZARD. This
launches the connection wizard which
will make all the necessary settings.
The welcome screen of the connection
wizard will appear. Click NEXT.
In Network Connection Type, choose the
second option, Connect to the network
at my workplace and then click NEXT.
Choose Dial-up connection and the mo-
dem that you wish to use to set up a con-
nection with the industrial router.
