DSA messages

Use this information to review the diagnostic error messages and solve many
errors.
If the diagnostic programs generate error codes that are not listed in the table,
make sure that the latest level of the UEFI code is installed. To download the latest
firmware for the compute node, go to http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/.
The following table describes the messages that the diagnostic programs might
generate and suggested actions to correct the detected problems. Follow the
suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the action column. In the
error codes, x can be any numeral or letter. However, if the three-digit number in
the central position of the code is 000, 195, or 197, do not replace a CRU. These
numbers appearing in the central position of the code have the following
meanings:
000
195
197

Use this information to diagnose and solve microprocessor test errors.
Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action
column until the problem is solved.

Explanation: Passed the CPU stress test
User response: Information only; no action is required.
089-801-xxx
Explanation: Aborted due to an internal program error.
User response: Complete the following steps:
1. If the compute node has stopped responding, turn off and restart the compute node. See "Turning off the
compute node" on page 15 and "Turning on the compute node" on page 13.
2. Make sure that the DSA code is up-to-date, upgrade if necessary; then, run the test again. The latest code can be
found at http://www.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/docdisplay?lndocid=SERV-DSA.
3. Make sure that the system firmware level is up-to-date, upgrade if necessary; then, run the test again. The
installed firmware level can be found in the DSA log within the Firmware/VPD section for this component. The
latest level firmware for this component can be found at http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/.
4. If the compute node has stopped responding, turn off and restart the compute node; then, run the test again. See
"Turning off the compute node" on page 15 and "Turning on the compute node" on page 13.
5. (Trained service technician only) If the component failure remains, see Chapter 7, "Installing, removing, and
replacing compute node components," on page 487 to replace the failed component.
The compute node passed the test. Do not replace a CRU.
The Esc key was pressed to end the test. Do not replace a CRU.
This is a warning error, but it does not indicate a hardware failure; do not
replace a CRU. Take the action that is indicated in the Action column, but
do not replace a CRU. See the description for Warning in "Diagnostic text
messages" on page 66 for more information.
