► Carefully position the patient on the force measure­
ment plate as shown in the illustration, observing
the following points:
→ Standing relaxed
→ Looking forward
→ Standing centred on the force measurement
plate
→ Hips parallel to the frontal plane
→ Feet hip-width apart (skeletal orientation) on the
force measurement plate
→ Toes in one line
→ Even 50%:50% load distribution (deviating val­
ues apply for prosthesis wearers depending on
the amputation level)
→ Arms hanging loose
→ Standing unsupported during measuring
