8.6 Startup Mode

CAUTION! Both dosing pumps must always be vented.
●
Open dosing head venting spindle (item 1) by 1 revolution in the
counterclockwise direction.
●
Switch on the dosing pumps using the "F2" and "F3" keys.
●
Only close the venting spindle when the dosing medium returns without
bubbles to the tank through the venting hose (item 2). If the venting process
is not carried out correctly, or is interrupted, close and open the venting
screw (item 1) briefly several times (max. 1 revolution).
NOTE The dosing pump is completely vented when the LEDs
(see items 1, 4, 19 on page 21) for monitoring the
dosing controller flash regularly.

Switch off the pumps by releasing the keys.
Startup mode is used to fill the reactor with water. It is the same for all system sizes.
NOTE Startup mode (duration approx. 40 minutes) can be
cancelled at any time using the "Escape" key.
If startup mode is cancelled prematurely and then restarted, the startup time
commences again at approx. 40 minutes.
In the "Startup mode" status, only the "Suction lines run dry" fault signals, the dosing
controllers and the overflow contact of the batch tank are evaluated, i.e. the systems
are switched off.
No other fault signals lead to switching-off of the system.
NOTE During startup mode in batch mode, make sure that the
batch tank is not filled with water up to the overflow
contact. This contact switches the system off
(depending on the system size and the volume of the
batch tank). If appropriate, empty the batch tank during
startup mode.
