8.4.1 Venting

Following filling of the water tank, the dosing pump (DMX 221) for H 2 O must be
vented and gauged.

In the "Service mode" menu, switch to the "Venting" menu, and then scroll to
page 2.

NOTE
If the stroke setting is changed when venting, the
preset stroke length must be set again following the
venting procedure.
●
Activate the dosing pump using the "F1" key, stroke setting 90 - 100%
●
Rotate overflow valve of dosing pump into position "Venting" (Fig., item 1)
●
Rotate the knob such that the smaller cut-out rests on the nub of the dosing
head. The rotary knob is then further away from the dosing head, the valve
spring is unloaded.
●
When the dosing medium flows back into the tank out of the venting hose
(item 3) without bubbles, rotate the knob back into the position "Operation"
(item 2)
●
Return stroke setting to preset factory setting.
