8.5.2 Venting of Dosing Pumps DMI

NOTE
The dosing pump is completely vented when the LEDs
(see items 1, 4 on page 37) for monitoring the dosing
controller flash regularly.
Switch off the pumps (HCl and NaClO
Use the "Escape" key to return to the "Service mode" menu.
With the systems 164-150C to 164-750C, pumps with a dual head and gauging
system are used for dosing the chemicals.
Function:
No gas bubbles can enter the dosing controller, and the operational reliability and
the startup response (even following a longer standstill period) are significantly
improved.
The gauging scale means that the dosing pumps can be gauged during operation.
Before the dosing pump is switched on, the dosing medium should be sucked
through the overflow hose (item 3) using the supplied syringe.
Connect syringe to the overflow hose (item 3) at the end of suction line, and suck
dosing medium gently through the pump.
Open the spindle (item 4) (normal mode).
CAUTION
Same procedure for both dosing pumps
The dosing pumps can be started using the "F2" and "F3" keys (HCl and NaClO
pumps respectively). The pumps remain switched on as long as the corresponding
keys are pressed. Output on the display e.g. "HCl pump <ON>".
Switch off the pumps by releasing the keys. Output on the display e.g. "HCl pump
<OFF>".
