5.2.2 Installing the New Syringe

Installing a new syringe involves:
• Connecting and initializing the syringe
• Modifying configuration parameters if a syringe of a different size is installed
Connecting and Initializing the Syringe
To connect and initialize the syringe:
1. Screw the new syringe assembly partially into the mounting block
not tighten.
2. Taking care to maintain the alignment of the plunger with the syringe, slide the
plunger down so that the threaded end slides through the syringe guide
mounting bracket.
5 3. Tighten the syringe hand-tight.
4. At the 717plus keypad, use the arrow keys to move to the Syringe field. Highlight
the Empty
you to install the knurled nut.
5. Install the knurled nut.
