Problem of OS Operation

[?] Windows is unstable
Have you installed Starter Pack?

 If the network driver is installed after OS is installed, Windows operation may become unstable.
See "Installation Guide (Windows)" to install Starter Pack.
[?] Windows is unstable after the system is restored from a backup tool
 Installing Starter Pack by using EXPRESSBUILDER.
[?] The system time is not correct
 In Windows Server 2008, if you do not use the server that adjusts time such as Network Time
Protocol (NTP) Server, the system time may differ from actual time. In this case, use NTP server or
disable Windows Time Service.
[?] Unable to find the server on network
Is the cable connected properly?

 Check if the LAN cable is surely connected to the network and the cable is conformed to the
network interface protocol.
Is BIOS setting correct?

 Check the following setting with BIOS Setup Utility.
Advanced  PCI Configuration  Embedded NIC (Dual Gbit)  LAN #1 Option ROM
Scan or LAN #2 Option ROM Scan
Have you completed a protocol and services settings?

 Install the driver for the onboard LAN controller of the server and specify a protocol such as TCP/IP
or various services.
Are transfer rate settings correct?

 The onboard LAN controller supports 10 Gbps and 1 Gbps networks. Specify the transfer rate and
duplex mode to the same value as the value specified for network HUB/switch.
If you want to use Wake On LAN feature, the link speed and the duplex mode must be specified as
"Auto Detect (Auto)".
[?] Forgotten my login name and password for Web browser to use the remote management
 Restore the factory settings including login name and password in the following procedure.
(1) Launch the Offline Tool according to Chapter 1 (9.1 Starting Offline Tools).
(2) On the Off-line TOOL MENU, select Server Configuration Utility  EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3
 Configuration Initialization, and then press the <Enter> key.
Note
Settings of remote management feature with NEC ESMPRO Agent Extension will be
cleared when restoring the factory settings.
Back up the settings before restoring.
