inspections

inspection intervals are based on the airframe
operating time. The scheduled component inspection
intervals are based on the component operating time.

SCHEDULED AIRFRAME INSPECTIONS
Bell Helicopter Textron developed two scheduled
airframe inspection programs to give flexibility for
maximum helicopter use. An operator can choose one
of the Bell programs or design their own program. The
selection of an alternative inspection program and its
approval by the governing civil aviation authority is the
responsibility of the owner/operator.

Airframe Periodic
Do the inspections at intervals of 50 hours, 150 hours
and 600 hours. You must do a minimum of one
complete 50 hour, 150 hour and 600 hour inspection
within 12 months.
5-10.
Airframe Progressive
The requirements of the airframe periodic 50 hour, 150
hour and 600 hour inspections are combined in 12
separate events of similar workload, and are done at
50 hour intervals. You must do the events in the
sequence shown in
Table
event 12, the progressive cycle begins again with
event 1. You must do a minimum of one complete
cycle (12 events) within 12 months.

and progressive programs you must first do the 50
hour, 150 hour and 600 hour inspections. The owner/
operator is responsible to not exceed the time interval
of any scheduled airframe inspection procedure.
