(6) The main driveshaft transmission end coupling
grease retainer sleeves and the shaft area around them.
10. Examine the main rotor hub as follows:
If damage to the yoke is found to exceed the
specified limits, the yoke is unserviceable and not
repairable.
a. Inspect the main rotor yoke.
(1) Remove the blades from the main rotor assembly.
(2) Examine the blades for cracks, delamination, or
other damage.
(3) Examine
the
debonding, or other damage.
(4) Examine the static stops and main rotor adapters
for deformation and damage.
11. If you found any damage when you did
remove and do an overhaul of the components that follow:
a. Mast assembly.
b. Transmission assembly.
(1) Remove and scrap the transmission top case
assembly.
c. Main drive shaft assemblies.
12. Make sure that all the cowlings, fairings, windows and
doors fit properly and are aligned. A misalignment may show a
distorted fuselage. This could cause major stresses and
damage to components.
