• select IBM from the Manufacture drop down list, or select the manufact(Jre of the modem you are
using.
• select 19200 7857 from the Modem Type drop down list, or select the modem type of the modem
you are using.
• select COM1 from the Serial Port drop down list.
• select high for the speaker
volume.
• press the Test Modem push button to test the modem settings.
- Press the Test Setup push button to run the modem test.

If the modem test fails, the modem is not setup correctly,
defective,
or the wrong modem
type was selected on the previous panel.

7. Close the IBM Global Dialer settings notebook by double-clicking the upper left hand corner.
8. Open an OS/2 window and type TEDIT C:\MPTN\ETC\RESOLV2
