On the System Power Status window:
• Select Service Mode from the menu bar.
• Select Enter Service Mode Password from
the pull-down.
• Type PEMODE and press Enter
Check the System Power Status window for the
state of SSC-DCA communications for both OCAs.
Is SBC-OCA COMM set to BAD for either OCA?
YES

Check Y -cable between the OCAs and the RS422
card where it plugs into the front of the PCI Cage
(Slot 2).
Is the cable plugged at both ends and without
damage?
YES
NO

Correct the problem by plugging or
exchanging the cable. When complete,
continue on step 59.
Power Failures
This procedure sets service mode on and displays
the Powerrrhermal Service Console on the system
display.
