Certifications

The safety functions of SINAMICS S120 in conjunction with SINUMERIK 828D comply with
the following requirements:
● Category 3 to DIN EN ISO 13849‑1
● Performance level (PL) d according to DIN EN ISO 13849-1
● Safety integrity level 2 (SIL 2) to IEC 61508
● DIN EN 61800-5-2
In addition, most of these safety functions have been certified by independent institutes. An
up-to-date list of certified components is available on request from your local Siemens office.
