For asynchronous motors.
For permanent magnet (PM) motors with
surface-mounted (non-salient) magnets.
Refer to parameter 1-14 Damping Gain to
parameter 1-17 Voltage filter time const. for
details about optimising the motor
operation.
For permanent magnet (PM) motors with
interior (salient) magnets, without
inductance saturation control.
For permanent magnet (PM) motors with

saturation control.
Function:
The damping gain stabilises the PM machine. The
value of damping gain controls the dynamic
performance of the PM machine. High damping
gain gives high dynamic performance and low
