WARNING: The repair kit contains epoxy resin and
amine type hardener which may cause skin or eye
irritation and can be harmful if swallowed. Use with
adequate ventilation. Do not use near fire or open
flame the contents contain flammable solvents.
Keep out of reach of children.
• DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY, IF SWALLOWED
INDUCE VOMITING AND CALL A PHYSICIAN IMME-
DIATELY.
• IF SKIN CONTACT OCCURS, WASH AFFECTED
AREAS WITH SOAP AND WATER.
IF EYE CONTACT OCCURS, FLUSH WITH
PLENTY OF WATER.

(3) Rem ove t h e pa cka ge sepa r a t or cla m p a n d m ix
t h e con du ct ive epoxy t h or ou gh ly. F old in h a lf a n d cu t
t h e cen t er cor n er t o dispen se t h e epoxy.
(4) Apply t h e con du ct ive epoxy t h r ou gh t h e slit in
t h e m a skin g t a pe. Over la p bot h en ds of t h e br ea k(s)
by 19 m m (3/4 in ch ).
(5) Ca r efu lly r em ove t h e m a skin g t a pe fr om t h e
gr id lin e(s).
CAUTION: To prevent the glass from fracturing, do
not allow the glass surface to exceed 204° C (400°
F).
(6) Allow t h e epoxy t o cu r e 24 h ou r s a t r oom t em -
per a t u r e or u se a h ea t gu n wit h a 260° t o 371° C
(500° t o 700° F ) r a n ge for 15 m in u t es. H old t h e h ea t
gu n a ppr oxim a t ely 254 m m (10 in ch es) fr om t h e
r epa ir ed a r ea .
(7) Aft er t h e con du ct ive epoxy is pr oper ly cu r ed,
ver ify oper a t ion of t h e r ea r win dow defogger.

CAUTION: Do not use a flame type solder gun or an
electric solder gun rated greater than 500 watts or
damage to the glass may occur.

win dow defogger bu s ba r by solder in g.

of t h e t er m in a l is st ill a t t a ch ed t o t h e h ea t in g gr id,
r em ove t h e por t ion of t h e clip r em a in in g in t h e wir e
h a r n ess con n ect or (s).

sm oot h t h e solder on t h e bu s ba r.
NOTE: Wait five minutes for the glass to cool after
applying heat with a solder gun before proceeding.
NOTE: Use care when cleaning the mating surfaces.
Excessive abrasion may wear away the copper grid
surface causing grid continuity to be lost.

a n d t h e n ew t er m in a l(s) wit h "000" E xt r a F in e St eel
Wool or a n equ iva len t .
