Chapter 2 Cisco IOS Commands
The initial time period begins when the IEEE Power Device is detected by the switch. If linkdown occurs
on the connected device during the initial time period, the shutdown time determines how long the
switch continues to provide power to the device.
Enter the no power inline delay shutdown seconds initial seconds interface configuration command to
return to the default setting.
Examples
This example shows how to disable inline-power detection and power for inline-power-capable
interfaces:
Switch(config-if)# power inline never
This example shows how to enable inline-power detection and power for inline-power-capable
interfaces:
Switch(config-if)# power inline auto
This example shows how to configure a shutdown time delay for an IEEE Power Device:
Switch(config-if)# power inline delay shutdown 20 initial 90
You can verify your settings by entering the show running-config privileged EXEC command.
