Use this manual:
• when you are ready to integrate your application with the I/0
devices, controllers, and networks in your system.
• after you perform these actions:
– develop the basic code for your application
– perform isolated tests of your application
This manual is divided into the basic tasks that you perform while
programming a ControlLogix controller.
• Each chapter covers a task.
• The tasks are organized in the sequence that you will typically
perform them.
As you use this manual, you will see some terms that are formatted
differently from the rest of the text:
For example:
Right-click User-Defined ...
Right-click
name_of_program ...
Means:
Right-click on the item that is named
User-Defined.
You must identify the specific program in
your application. Typically, it is a name or
variable that you have defined.
