To expand a network one level, do one of
the following:
• Double-click the network.
• Select the network and press the

Communicate with Another Controller Over a DH+
A. Install the 1756-DHRIO module.
B. Connect the chassis to a network that you can access from your
workstation.
For example, perform one of the following:
• Connect a serial cable to your workstation and a ControlLogix
controller that is in the same chassis as the 1756-DHRIO
module.
• Connect the chassis to an EtherNet/IP or ControlNet network.
C. Power-up the chassis.
D. Start RSLinx software.

E. Expand the network from step B. until you see the 1756-DHRIO
module.
F. Right-click the DHRIO module and choose
Module Configuration.
G. Click the Channel Configuration tab.
