G. Next to name:slot:X.Data, click the + sign.
H. Click name:slot:X.Data[y].
where:
y is the group number that the device is wired to.
I. To the right of the selection, click
J. Click the bit number of the device.
K. Press the Enter key or click another cell.
When you finish, the Tags window should look similar to this:

start Local:5:I.Data[0].1(C)
start is an alias for bit 1 of word 0 of slot 5 in the local chassis.
