Problem
The formed stud head stays in the staking cavity as the horn retracts.
Probable Cause
The stud head has not solidified before
the horn retracts.
The horn tip is heating and not
allowing the stud to solidify.

Solution
Increase the hold time.
Cool the horn tip.
Use afterburst.
NOTE
The use of a knurled horn
tip and a pointed stud
can help solve many of
the above problems.
