Editing a type file You do not need to create a type file unless the manufacturer of the DP
standard slave has not provided a type file. There is a type file for each
station type in the family of SIEMENS DP slaves: these files are supplied
with COM ET 200 Windows or are available on request. To edit a new type
file:
