To enter slave parameters for a new DP slave,
1. Select Configure
Slave parameters and
2. confirm the desired slave station number by pressing the "OK" button.
Result: The "Slave parameters" dialog box is opened.
3. Enter the slave parameters. Press the "Help" button to obtain
context-sensitive help on the slave parameters.
4. Confirm the slave parameter settings and close the dialog box by pressing
the "OK" button.
or
If you want to enter the slave parameters for a particular DP slave, proceed as
follows:
1. Click on the icon of the appropriate DP slave.
Result: The icon of the DP slave you select is attached to the mouse
pointer.
2. Point to the bottom of the bus and click the left mouse button.
3. Press the "OK" button to confirm your choice of slave station number.
Result: The "Slave parameters" dialog box is opened.
4. Enter the slave parameter settings. Press the "Help" button to obtain
context-sensitive help on the slave parameters.
5. Confirm the slave-parameter settings and close the dialog box by pressing
the "OK" button.
or
To enter the slave parameters for an existing DP slave, proceed as follows:
1. In the application window, double-click on the icon representing the DP
slave of your choice.
Result: The "Slave parameters" dialog box is opened specifically for the
DP slave of your choice.
2. Enter the slave-parameter settings. Click on the "Help" button to obtain
context-sensitive help on the slave parameters.
3. Confirm the slave-parameter settings and close the dialog box by pressing
the "OK" button.
