Contactor Failed Procedure

This flowchart is used for troubleshooting problems associated with the main contactor, AM, including wiring. Refer to the schematic/wiring diagrams
in Chapter 3 when troubleshooting.
Is the main contactor Is 120 VAC present at
energised?
Possible bad stack;
Is +10 VDC measured Possible missing wire;
at terminal A5? install jumper between
(Current Limit OK?) terminals B3 and A6.
Is +24 VDC measured Is wire from terminal
at terminal C5 C9 to Aux. contact
(Enable)? terminal on contactor

Disconnect all
D5 and D6? power!
Measure continuity of
replace stack. wire from D5 to
contactor.
Measure continuity of
wire from D6 to
contactor.
Possible bad contact;
replace contactor.
