Composing Images

The Form Composition mode enables you to superimpose a previously scanned image which
has been stored in the memory of the machine (image form) on the output.
Image Form
IMPORTANT
• For information on the modes which cannot be set in combination with this mode, see "Unavailable
Combination of Functions," on p. 9-6.
• To use the Form Composition mode, the image form must be stored in the machine beforehand. (See
Chapter 4, "Customizing Settings," in the Reference Guide.)
• Form composition can be used with other copy modes, which are not listed above, to process images.
However, copy modes other than the Shift mode can only be used for copying images, and not for stored
image forms.
• Up to 100 image forms can be stored. However, this number varies depending on the free space of the
hard disk.
• The Form Composition mode cannot be used with documents with resolution of less than 600 x 600 dpi.
• Printing performance may not be optimal in the Form Composition mode, depending on the selected
document and image form.
• The exposure of CMYK format images for Form Composition may become lighter when copying or
printing with the Form Composition mode.
