One-Time Remote System Administration Access

To set the extension to be notified of new General Delivery Mailbox messages:
9. Finally, to specify which extension number Office PhoneMail should notify whenever a
new message is left in the General Delivery Mailbox, select Parameter 3 by

the system administration main menu.
6.10 One-Time Remote System Administration Access
Hicom Office PhoneMail provides the system administrator with the option of enabling or dis-
abling remote access to the system administration menu.
If the remote system administration access is disabled, then the system administration
menu can be reached through internal phones only. This is true under all circumstances,
even if you provide a valid mailbox and password combination from an external phone.
If the remote system administration access is enabled, then the system administration
menu can be reached through external phones and internal phones.
If the remote system administration access is enabled, then this remote access is
limited to a one-time use. That means that the remote access will be disabled after
it has been used. It then must be re-enabled from an internal phone.
Thus, the convenience of remote system administration access is provided while the
system is still protected from frequent unauthorized use.
To enable one-time remote system administration access:
