Within 5 feet (1.5 meters) of an alternating current, unswitched power outlet ( do not use an
extension cord with your Office PhoneMail system).
Office PhoneMail does not require a dedicated power outlet. However, it is recom-
mended that you provide a surge-protected circuit to protect Office PhoneMail. If you
need continuous operation during power outages, consult your installer for the ap-
propriate uninterruptable power supply.
Beyond 10 feet (3 meters) from heating vents or other heat sources.
With at least 12 inches (31 centimeters) clear on all sides of the Office PhoneMail unit for
ventilation and ease of cable access ( do not mount Office PhoneMail inside a cabinet).
Away from excessive moisture.
