C Installation Checklist
This checklist is valid only for CS configurations using a DTMF phone.
Before you use this checklist, you must have completed the system planner as
described in Appendix B, "Office PhoneMail System Planner".
Instructions:
Use the information contained in the Appendix B, "Office PhoneMail System Planner" along
with this Installation Checklist to complete the Office PhoneMail installation. Check off each
step as it is completed. As you proceed through the checklist, the Flight Path feature, indicated
by a icon, illustrates the key presses required to reach the specified point in the Hicom Ad-
ministration or Office PhoneMail Administration structure.
Steps referring to Hicom CS administration may alternatively be done by your Hicom
Administrator using a tool provided with the Hicom CS.
Hicom CS Administration
1. Confirm Hicom Software Version
Using Hicom CS administration, confirm that the Hicom CS software version supports the
installation of the Office PhoneMail system. If your Hicom CS is not equipped with the cor-
rect software, upgrade the Hicom software before completing the Office PhoneMail instal-
lation.

2. Assign Station Type to Office PhoneMail Extensions
Using Hicom CS administration, assign the Station type "Voicemail" to all extensions con-
nected to the Office PhoneMail unit.
