Safety
The following information is included in this publication for the use and safety of installation and
maintenance personnel.
This product is UL listed to the requirements of UL Standard 1950, Second Edition, "Safety of
Information Technology Equipment, Including Electrical Business Equipment."
This product is CSA certified to the requirements of CSA Standard C22.2 No. 950-M89, "Safety
of Information Technology Equipment, Including Electrical Business Equipment."

General Safety
Do not attempt to lift objects that you think are too heavy for you.
Do not wear loose clothing; tie back your hair while working on machines.
Wear eye protection when you are working in any conditions that might be hazardous to
your eyes.
After maintenance, reinstall all safety devices such as shields, guards, labels, and ground
wires. Replace worn safety devices.
If you feel any action is unsafe, notify your manager before proceeding.
Do not use a telephone to report a gas leak while in the vicinity of the leak.

Safety with Electricity
DANGER
Do not take chances with your life. Follow these safety guidelines carefully.

High Voltages
Observe all safety regulations and read the warnings, cautions, and notes posted on the
equipment.
Find the switch to power off the cabinet. Read the posted instructions.
Ensure that a machine cannot be powered on from another source or controlled from a dif-
ferent circuit breaker or disconnecting switch.
