Office PhoneMail will take you to the top level of the system administration menu.
In order to complete basic system setup, you will now set the attendant's extension, enable valid
employee extensions, and enable employee mailboxes.
6.2

Setting the Country Code

The country code defines operational characteristics unique to each country (such as whether
to use 9 or 0 for the human attendant). You can not change the country code without re-initial-
izing the system.
Caution

Once you have set the country code for your system, you can change it at any time
— but note that changing this setting will re-initialize your system administration da-
tabase, returning all changeable parameters to their default settings, and erasing all
messages currently stored in the system.
A complete list of valid country codes is provided in Appendix D, "Country Codes".
To set or change the country code:
1. From the top-level system administration menu, elect to perform an Installation Option
by pressing
Office PhoneMail will prompt you for the Installation password.
2. At the system prompt, enter the Installation password:

4. At the system prompt, enter the new country code.

To leave the current code setting unchanged and return to the previous menu,

6.3 Enabling Valid Office PhoneMail Extensions
Office PhoneMail needs to be told what constitutes a valid Office PhoneMail extension (for ex-
ample, voice mail extensions are not valid extensions for the Auto Attendant).
Office PhoneMail allows you to provide voice mail coverage for up to 40 extension-holders (i.e.,
subscribers). A subscriber's mailbox number will be the same as the corresponding extension
number.
