Setting Up Your System
Enabling Valid Office PhoneMail Extensions
For subscribers who will have both an extension and a mailbox, the extension must be enabled
before the mailbox can be enabled. It is a good idea to enable a subscriber's mailbox immedi-
ately after enabling the corresponding extension (for instructions on enabling mailboxes, see
Section 6.5, "Enabling Office PhoneMail Mailboxes", on page 6-6).
You can enable extensions individually, or you can enable a range of contiguous extensions (up
to nine at a time).
Note that if you plan to designate any extensions as fax extensions, you should enable those
extensions at this time as well.
Also, note that the extension numbers associated with information and guest mailboxes should
not be enabled.
