Recording Your Company Greetings
When calls come into Office PhoneMail, the system's Auto Attendant answers those calls and
greets the callers. It is important that you record customized greetings for the Auto Attendant
to use for this purpose. You will need to record two different greetings for your Office PhoneMail
system: a company greeting and a top-level greeting.
The company greeting is intended to be a short greeting (5 to 10 seconds in length) that iden-
tifies your company. This greeting will be the same for calls received during and outside busi-
ness hours. If your Office PhoneMail system supports multiple languages, you should record
this greeting in both of the languages supported by your system. For instance, on an Office
PhoneMail system supporting both English and German, the following would be an appropriate
company greeting:
"Hello, you have reached the ____ company. Hallo, Sie haben ____ erreicht."
