Setting Up Your System
Now that you have installed your Office PhoneMail unit, you have a few setup tasks to perform
before your employees can customize their mailboxes. These tasks are performed through the
Office PhoneMail administration menu.
Note that even before — and while — you perform these steps, your phones and outside lines
remain fully operational. Your Hicom needs never to be turned off while you install and set up
your Office PhoneMail system.
This chapter will help you complete your basic system setup by showing you how to:
Access the system administration menu for the first time.
Set the country code.
Enable or disable valid extensions.
Enable or disable Office PhoneMail mailboxes.
Set the fax extension(s).
Enable fax overflow mailbox(es) (optional).
Set parameters for the human attendant.
Enable or disable the one-time remote system administration access.
