Status Indicator
The status indicator is used to determine the operating state of the Office PhoneMail sys-
tem. Appendix E, "Status Indicator Cadences", describes these operational states in detail.
Diagnostic Button
Use this button to send commands to the Office PhoneMail system during system up-
grades as directed by the Status Indicator.
Expansion Card Slot
If you purchase an optional language, port, or fax expansion card for the Office PhoneMail,
you will insert it into this slot.
RS-232 Connector
This connector is used only by Siemens trained service technicians servicing Hicom Office
PhoneMail.

Special Note for the System Administrator

In order to properly install and configure your Hicom Office PhoneMail System, you must be
familiar with the configuration and operation of the Hicom 112, 118, or 150 System.
