Assign automatic DTMF to each Voicemail port.

For each Voicemail port, specify that intrusion is not allowed.

Turn off Security camp for each Voicemail port.
Specify English, not US English, as the Voicemail port language.

Assign the Voicemail extensions to a hunt group.

Name the hunt group "Voicemail". Spell "Voicemail" exactly as it is spelled here, but do not
use the quotes.

For Automatic Attendant coverage, assign trunk to ring the Voicemail hunt group.
10. Disable data compression on Voicemail ports.
The following additional steps apply only to Hicom 150 E installations:
11. Configure an available destination list on the Hicom 150 E to forward to the Office Phone-
Mail group number configured above.
12. Using Hicom administration, set "Internal Calls", "External/Day", and "External/Night" for
the Hicom extensions to the Office PhoneMail destination list.
The following additional steps apply only to Hicom 150 E installations, and only in the
USA:
13. Ensure that a valid/fake call appearance identifier (CAID) has been assigned to all Office
PhoneMail hunt group members.
If using Offsite Message Notification, live CAID must be assigned to the hunt group
members in order to access outside lines for out calling capabilities.
To configure the phones:
For all extensions except those designated as Voicemail extensions , set the extensions to
forward to the Voicemail hunt group after ring no answer (RNA) or busy.
Ensure that the Voicemail ports are not members of a Call Pickup Group.

Selecting a Mounting Location
Your Office PhoneMail system is designed to hang on a wall in close proximity to your Hicom
system. Figure 5-1 on page 5-3 illustrates the conditions for mounting your Office PhoneMail.
Select a wall location:
Within 4 feet (1.22 meters) of your Hicom unit.
