Safety notes
For your own safety and protection, do not use the telephone
in a bathroom or in a damp environment. The telephone is
not splashproof.
Recommendations for installation
Please note the following:
• The telephone should be placed on a non-slip surface.
• The varnish and polish on furniture may be marked by
some parts of the equipment, such as the rubber feet.
• Do not expose the telephone to direct sunlight or other
sources of heat.
• Use telephone at temperatures between +5°C and +55°C.
• Make sure that the telephone is at least one meter away
from any radio equipment, such as radio telephones, radio
pagers, or television sets, otherwise its performance may
be impaired.
• Avoid placing the telephone in rooms where there is a lot
of dust, since this shortens its useful life.
• To clean the telephone, wipe it with a damp or antistatic
cloth. Never use a dry cloth (since this can generate elec-
trostatic charges and discharges) or abrasive cleaning
agents.
• If you hand over your telephone to someone else, please
make sure you include the operating instructions with it.
• Once the telephone has reached the end of its useful life,
please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way, in
accordance with legal requirements.
Installation
Spiral handset cord:
Insert connector (at long straight end) into socket marked
until it is heard to engage. Attach short end to handset.
Connecting cord: Insert the one connector into socket
on lower side, and insert the other connector into wall sock-
et. Secure connecting cord in cable guide provided.
Emergency calls
The Emergency Service can be conctacted using this tele-
phone by dialing 999. If your euroset 805S is connected to a
telephone system, you may need to key in an acces code
(usually 9) to get an outside line before dialing 999.
