Af ter the pump has been
dismantled and
cleaned,
check
that
al
l
the parts are in good
cond
ition.
Test
the
re,li
ef
valve
spr
ing
(2, Fig.
2-44),
see "Specifica
-
tions" for the values concerned.
Check
that
the
~ooth
flank clemance is .15-.35 mm
(.006-.014"),
see Fig. 2-45.
Measure the
end float,
.02-.10
mm (.0008-.0040"),
with a feeler gauge and a
new
cover
or the
old one
if not
noticeably worn
.
If the bushes
or shaft me
worn, replace
them with
new
ones. Note
that the
driving ·shaft with
g'
e ar is replaced as a single unit.
The new
bushes
should be reamed afte,r pressing
in
with arealmer
provide1
d
with a
pil'ot
guide.
The
sea
ling
rings at
i
t he
ends
of
t he
deliv,
e ry pipe
are made of
spec
ial
,rubber and are
manufactured
to very close
to l·erances, see Fig. 2-47.

be
clamped in
its
correct position first
in
the oil
pump and then theoil pump and pipe together
clamped
against the bl·ock. The pump connecting

can
be
coated
with
soapy
waler
since
this
enables
the

take
up its ,position more
easily.
Tap
