steering

these parts

The
race
for the
lower steering
cam
bearing is pulled
out with an
a
ngl
e
screwdriver.
Measure the
diameters for
the bush in the housing
and cover as
weil as the pitman arm shaft. For new
parts the clearance is
.025-
.063 mm (.0010-.0024"). If
the clearance exceeds .18 mm (.007"), replace the bush
according to the following:
Use tool SVO 2720, see Fig. 6-51, for pressing the bush
out of the housing
.
The early prod. type housing
has aflange which functions as a stop for the bush.
This flange,
see
the dotted line in Fig. 6-52, must be
drilled off when replacing the bush. Use a drill with
diameter 32 mm (1/4"). To press in the new bush use
tool SV02716 and standard handle SV01801, see
Fig.6-53.
