Place

rear window in position with the rubber
strip fitted. Wearing working gloves, carefully strike
the rear window a f ew
blows
with th
e palm of the
hand
so that it
makes
good contact all round.
Then carefully pull out th
e
cord from
inside.
This
will cau se the rubber strip to "creep" over the
sheet metal edge
as
shown in
Fig.
8-24. It may
sometimes be necessary to adjust th
e
position of
the rear window with the palm of the
hand.
