1. Drive section

A. Developing shutter clutch solenoid position
adjustment
(1) Outline/purpose
The developing shutter clutch solenoid installing position is adjusted
to ensure proper operation of the developing shutter.
There are two hooks on the developing shutter clutch. Adjust so that
the clutch solenoid bar makes contact with each hook when the
clutch solenoid is turned ON and OFF.
(2) Cases where the adjustment is required.
* When the drive section is disassembled.
* When the developing shutter clutch is disassembled or replaced.
* When the developing shutter clutch solenoid is disassembled or
replaced.
* When a trouble occurs in the developing shutter.
(When developer/toner splashes from the developing unit.)
(When the print density is low (Insufficient quantity of toner and
developer on the developing roller))
(When the print colors are dark and unclear.)
(When the print color balance is improper.)
(3) Necessary tools
* Light
(4) Details
1) Remove the drive section inside cover and the slide frame.

Remove the right cabinet, the rear cabinet, and the upper
cabinet.(Refer to the [12]-1)

Remove the grid bias electrode cable, the main charger
electrode cable, and the earth electrode cable.
