4) Peel off the arrows labeled f, g from the front of the printer and
remove the two protective pins located on each side of the trans-
fer drum.

(2) Installing the Toner (Black)
1) Remove the toner cartridge from its bag and shake the toner
cartridge, so that the stirrer inside it rattles, vigorously up and
down and left to right eight to ten times.
2) Insert the bottom of the toner cartridge into the slot on the rear
side of the black toner box.
CAUTION: If the grooves on the bottom of the toner cartridge do not
fit with those on the top of the toner box, the toner
cartridge is not of the correct type. Do not force the toner
cartridge into the toner box.

3) Slide the toner cartridge inside the grooves all the way towards
you.
4) Pull out and remove the toner release tape at the bottom of the
toner cartridge to allow the toner to fall into the toner box.
