SHARP SERVICE MANUAL JX8200SM [8] ADJUSTMENTS
OFF
(5) Precautions
When assembling the developing shutter drive section, the directions
(angles) of the cut surfaces of the four developing shutter drive shafts
must be aligned. (For details, refer to the developing shutter clutch
shaft angle adjustment.)
If the drive shaft angles are misaligned problems may be en-
countered to the extent that the developer unit will need to be
replaced.
(6) Troubles caused by improper adjustment
The following troubles may occur when the adjustment is improper.
* The developing shutter does not open or close completely when it
should. As a result, the following phenomena may occur.
(Splash of developer and toner from the developing unit)
(The print density is low. (insufficient quantity of developer and
toner on the developing roller))
(The print colors are dark and unclear.)
(The print color balance is improper.)
In the worst case, all the developing shutters are kept opened. In
that case, four-color developer and toner are mixed and normal
color reproduction cannot be performed. In such a case, the
developing unit must be replaced.
B. Developing shutter clutch shaft angle
adjustment
(1) Outline/purpose
The four developing shutters in the developing sections are
opened/closed by one clutch. Therefore, the open/close angles of the
four shutters must be aligned for one clutch to open/close all the four.
This adjustment is performed by changing the engagement of gears
of the developing shutter drive system.
(2) Cases where the adjustment is required
* When the drive section is disassembled.
* When the developing shutter clutch is disassembled or replaced.
* When a trouble occurs in the developing shutter.
(When developer/toner splashes from the developing unit.)
(When the print density is low (Insufficient quantity of toner and
developer on the developing roller))
(When the print colors are dark and unclear.)
(When the print color balance is improper.)
(3) Details
1) Remove the developing shutter drive idle gear.
