SHARP SERVICE MANUAL JX8200SM [8] ADJUSTMENTS
11) Manually turn the gear section of the transfer drum to shift the
transfer drum in the forward direction by about 15mm.
(Wipe off the toner image on the drum paper.)
12) Loosen the contact pressure adjustment plate fixing screws on
the right and left sections of the transfer drum.
13) Turn and change the contact pressure adjustment plate (ec-
centric plate) position to change the contact pressure.
Fit the hole corresponding to the marked number on the contact
pressure adjustment plate with the stopper position.
When the contact pressure adjustment plate is shifted to a larger
number position, the contact pressure is decreased and the gray
(half tone) width becomes smaller.
When the contact pressure adjustment plate is shifted to a
smaller number position, the contact pressure is increased and
the gray (half tone) width becomes greater.
When the contact pressure adjustment plate position is changed
by 1 step, the toner image width on the paper is changed by
about 0.5 ∼ 1.0mm.
14) Tighten the contact pressure adjustment plate fixing screws on
the right and left sections of the transfer drum.
15) Remove the OPC drum from the printer body, and manually turn
the OPC drum gear section in the arrow direction to shift the
cyan image on the OPC drum by about 15mm.
Note: Be sure to turn the gear section in the arrow direction. If it
is turned reversely, the cleaning blade in the OPC drum
unit or the OPC drum itself may be damaged.
16) Install the OPC drum to the printer body.
17) Perform procedures 8), 9) and 10).
18) Repeat procedures 11) ∼ 17) until the conditions of 10) are satis-
fied.
If, however, the toner image width on the right and left cannot be
set in the specified range even though the contact pressure
adjustment plate (eccentric plate) is changed, it means a defect
in the transfer drum. In that case, replace the transfer drum with
a new one.
When cyan images on the OPC drum are exhausted, start from
procedure 1).
19) Remove the OPC drum from the printer body, and manually turn
the OPC drum gear section in the arrow direction to shift the
cyan images on the OPC drum by about 15mm.
When cyan images on the OPC drum are exhausted, start from
procedure 1).
Note: Be sure to turn the gear section in the arrow direction. If it
is turned reversely, the cleaning blade in the OPC drum
unit or the OPC drum itself may be damaged.
