g. Special Key Operation
While pressing the key corresponding to each mode, turn on the power switch to execute the job in the mode.
By pressing the keys in the following combinations while power on, the corresponding initial settings are performed.

If PARALLEL = ON, enable the use of the parallel port. If PARALLEL = OFF,
disable the use of the parallel port.
Sets the default printer language for parallel port. If EMU = Auto the stream of
data being sent to the printing will be analyzed to determine which language is
being used by the printer job. The printer will be automatically switched to that
language. If PCL or PS2 is selected only that emulation will be used.
If HIGH SPEED = ON, the printer receives the data on high speed (use
IEEE1284 Standard Mode).
If HIGH SPEED = OFF, the printer receives the standard mode (IEEE1284
Classic Mode).
If ADV FNCTNS = ON, enable bi-directional parallel communication which
allows the printer to send status readback message to the computer.
If SERIAL = ON, enable the use of serial port. If SERIAL = OFF, disable the
use of serial port.
Sets the baud rate for the serial port.
Sets the data length for the serial port.
Sets the parity mode for the serial port.
Sets the way of hand shake for the serial port.
Sets the DTR polarity for the serial port.
If LOCALTALK = ON, enable the use of LocalTalk port.
If LOCALTALK = OFF, disable the use of LocalTalk port.
Sets the default printer language for the LocalTalk port. However, Mac
environment support only PS, This Menu always sets PS2 mode.
If NETWORK = ON, enable the use of the Ethernet port.
If NETWORK = OFF, disable the use of the Ethernet port.
After power on, "COLD RESET" is shown on LCD and values in "14-10. Factory Default Setting 120"
are set to EEPROM and the printer goes to normal operation. (The EEPROM data on the ICU PWB
are set to the default values.)
Top margin and left margin are set by key operation.
